A 4-Day Intensive Course. Authentic Japanese Ceramics Master Course in Shimonoseki, Chofu: Learn directly from Master potter Steve. October the 19th to the evening of the 22nd. LIMITED TO FOUR PEOPLE ONLY.

Authentic techniques can only be learned from true artisans. A special 4-day course in a historic 200 year old studio in Shimonoseki's Chofu district, where you will be directly taught traditional Japanese ceramic techniques and the essence of Hagi Yaki, one of the most revered styles of pottery in Japan. A Tea Master will explain the tea ceremony  tradition and you will participate in a Japanese tea house, then make your own bowls, Teapots, Chawans andTokkuri's. All taught, and explained along with a deep education on Japanese Pottery.

The intensive curriculum, from Monday morning to Thursday evening, will elevate your ceramic knowledge to the next level. Includes lunch at the on-site cafe and dinners at the adjacent traditional Japanese restaurants. Its 4 days, and 2 evenings, allowing you time to explore hidden kilns and scenic spots known only to local artisans.(recommended local accommodations info will also be provided).
